Our travel-service trips are a key component to the mission of Fields of Growth. Through first-hand experiences in foreign countries, our volunteers are able to see the world from a completely different point of view and enhance their view on the world. While living in solidarity with local community members, volunteers are surrounded by a new way of life, a new way of thinking, and new people.
Fields of Growth supports the development of future global leaders through harnessing the passion and enthusiasm of the sports community and enhancing their world views and exposing them to the many needs of the world. Unlike many other service-travel programs, Fields of Growth is committed to living with, in solidarity, the community in which we work. It is through these daily interactions in which life-long friendships and relationships are made.
Within all Fields of Growth travel programs, volunteers work with community organizations who are working to affect positive change in the world – in whatever small way they can. It is through these organizations in which we work to promote education, through formal teaching and through sports and music, promote social justice and self-consciousness, and, religiously neutral, spiritual growth.
